Just got back from NYC after a long [cold] day of location scouting. I think I’ve got to get a different bag for my gear…definitely started feeling all those pounds by the end of the day. And for as big as it is, it never seems big enough. Anyways, found some interesting sites, and despite the bad economy, indulged myself by picking up Annie Leibovitz’s latest book, “At Work” from Strand Books (that place is HUGE). Can’t wait to dig in and read it. I’ll let you know how it is once I finish it. Also stopped by B&H to pick up a Westcott 6-in-1 reflector kit. Best thing about it: TWO diffusion panels (full and two stop), so I can diffuse and reflect at the same time, or diffuse a key and a fill. Plus they’re square, so I can actually prop it against something without it rolling around if I don’t have stands/clamps on me. B&H was selling it (42″) for just under $100 even though online they have it listed for $124 (in case you were interested).
