Just thought I’d alert you to some upcoming deadlines for a couple PDN photo contests. For students, the 2009 Student Photo Contest deadline is December 7, with an entry fee of $10/entry ($5 extra to submit during the extended deadline until December 21). You have five different categories to submit to: (1) fashion/portraiture, (2) documentary/photojournalism, (3) still life, (4) travel/landscape, and (5) fine art/personal. Pros and students alike can participate in PDN’s Photo Annual 2009 contest. The deadline is December 19. Single image entry fees are $45; series (of 2-6 images) are $55; and students get the discounted entry fee of $25. Nine different categories to enter (not limited to just one): (1) advertising, (2) magazine/editorial, (3) photo books, (4) photojournalism/sports/documentary, (5) corporate design/photo products, (6) personal, (7) stock photography, (8) web sites, and (9) student work. So hurry up and get your entries in!
